These Terms govern your use of Kandan ("the Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. Questions: hello@usekandan.com.
The Service
Kandan aggregates notifications from third-party services you connect. It is provided "as is" without warranties. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee it.
Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
- You must only connect services you are authorized to access, and respect the terms of those services.
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country).
Acceptable use
Do not:
- Use the Service to break the law or harm others.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or the system.
- Abuse the API (automated scraping beyond normal usage, DoS, probing for vulnerabilities without prior authorization).
Your content
You retain ownership of data you bring into Kandan. You grant us the limited permission needed to store, display, and process that data to operate the Service on your behalf.
Third-party services
Kandan integrates with services like Gmail, GitHub, and Slack under their own terms. We are not responsible for outages or changes on their side.
Termination
You may stop using Kandan and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put the Service at risk.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kandan and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits arising out of your use of the Service.
Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via email to active users at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Amsterdam, unless a mandatory consumer-law rule gives you the right to your local courts.
